3 Ideas For Kitchen Island construct

3 Ideas For Kitchen Island construct

As more and more homes have to be built, more and more people are using kitchen island design ideas to maximize their kitchen space. Here are a few kitchen island design ideas that you might want to use as you plan that storehouse and extra work space for your kitchen.

1. Merge electronics and plumbing into the island.

A kitchen island is not only a work area or extra cabinet space. It should allow you to have everything you need within your reach. If you plan to chop vegetables and fruits on it, you will need a sink nearby. If you plan to toast bread the little you slice it, or if you plan to bake cakes and pop them into the oven immediately, you will also need a built in stove.

2. Have both open and done shelves in the island for more style.

Have open shelves for plates or saucers, and done cabinets for knives and pots and pans. You might also want to have a dishwasher installed in the island, so that you can store your utensils easily.

3. Be creative.

Your kitchen island can have a wine rack, shelves to store your cook books, a bin for deep frying, or higher surfaces on which you can carry out slicing work cut off from batter or mixing work. The possibilities are endless if you have a wide kitchen and a large island to boot.

Just be sure that you do not go overboard on the kitchen island amenities: a kitchen island is meant to keep everything within your reach, but don't store the wines next to the hot oven, or the dried spices next to the moisture-rich plumbing.

You can find more kitchen island design ideas at your friends' homes, so don't be afraid to consult with as many people as potential on the best kitchen island design ideas for your own space. With the best design meant for your needs, your kitchen island can make your kitchen look richer and dreamier.

How To Stain Kitchen Cabinets

How To Stain Kitchen Cabinets

Staining kitchen cabinets, and how you prepare to stain depends on what you are starting with.

Are you building your own cabinets? Are your cabinets unfinished in your carport waiting to be installed? Are your cabinets new and already installed, but in need of staining? Are you stripping your cabinets and then re-staining and refinishing them? Or are you going to try your hand at re-facing?

You will prepare and stain a bit differently for each of the above situations; however, there are some basic steps and supplies that are Universal when you are staining kitchen cabinets.

List of Basic Supplies You Will Need:

a good stain (I like a good oil-based stain, like a Sherwin-Williams oil based wiping stain) stirring stick sand paper (150 to 320 grit) saw horses or work bench to stain on drop clothes/cardboard cotton rags carpet pieces or other tool to apply stain (the right rug legitimately works well to get into those nooks and crannies) clothes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty (the stain won't come out - it's a good idea to spend in a body apron that you don't mind getting ruined) dust mask/respirator face mask latex or rubber gloves lacquer thinner or acetone (to reMove stain off of where you don't want it - like hinges or the floor; if you don't have these, you can use finger nail polish reMover, most consist of acetone) well ventilated area to work in area to set wood to dry
Step #1 - remove Doors, Drawers, Hardware and Lay Flat

If you are building your own cabinets, staining them is simply a step in the building process. You can stain everything, and put close on it too, before you ever put whatever together.

If your cabinets are pre-built, try to remove as much hardware as potential (handles and hinges). It is much easier to put the hardware back on than to try and clean it later. If you can take the hardware off, number each piece, then also put that same number on the wood where the hardware sits - development sure it is inconspicuous.

You should also remove the doors and drawer fronts before you begin staining kitchen cabinets, if you can, so you can lay them flat. Again, if you remove hinges, etc., do so and number so it won't show on your accomplished product.

The advantage of having an item lying flat while you are staining kitchen cabinets is that the stain and close won't run all over and originate a look you don't want - sloppy. Who wants to put a lot of work, time, and exertion into staining kitchen cabinets, just to see the accomplished product look sloppy and completely unprofessional? studying how to stain kitchen cabinets means ending up with a stain job that looks gorgeous and professional and says to the world that you know what you're doing. You want your cabinets to look like you paid a fortune, even if you didn't.

Step #2 - Look Your Pieces Over and Sand If Necessary

When first staining kitchen cabinets, look over the pieces you want to stain. Do they need to be sanded first? Most likely they are already sanded well, and you'll just have to sand out small scuff marks which resulted from handling them or installing the cabinets.

Use a fine grit sandpaper, 150, 220, or even higher. Once you begin staining kitchen cabinets, any marks you've missed in sanding will jump out at you. You can always sand out marks and scuffs after you've stained your kitchen cabinets, but that takes more time and energy, so try to do a good job of sanding initially.

Step #3 - Setting Up The Area Where You Will Be Staining Kitchen Cabinets - Remember safety First!

It is a good idea to stain items on saw horses if you have them, or on any sturdy table or bench that is about waist high. As you learn how to stain kitchen cabinets, you will be glad you used a drop cloth or cardboard on your floor or on any area that you don't want stain on. You can use lacquer thinner or acetone to wipe up stain, but it doesn't always work (like you can approximately never get stain out of clothes). Also, lacquer thinner or acetone might melt or ruin what the stain is sitting on. If you don't have lacquer thinner or acetone, use finger nail polish remover. It has acetone in it. Don't inhale the fumes of such products, or get them on your hands.

You'll also need to mask off any parts of the cabinets you don't want stained, such as the interiors.

Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty, and/or a full body apron.

You should also wear latex or rubber gloves and safety glasses when you are staining kitchen cabinets. These precautions are not only for when you are studying how to stain your kitchen cabinets, but are considerable even if you come to be an expert. Safely is of the utmost importance.

Alert: Beware Of perilous Fumes. Wearing a dust mask won't do any good against fumes. Only wear a dust mask if you are in the sanding process. You will whether have to spend in a respirator face mask for your safety, or ensure that you are in an very well ventilated area, such as your carport with doors wide open, or both. Fumes from the chemicals used while you are staining your kitchen cabinets are very dangerous, not only to breathe in, but, if concentrated enough, they can cause an explosion. And, don't be fooled by water-based products. They can give off fumes and perilous odors as well. Each product's danger level is different, but error on the side of caution. Knowing how to stain kitchen cabinets means knowing how to do it safely.

Step #4 - Applying The Stain

Once you know where you are going to be staining kitchen cabinets, and have yourself and your area prepared, open your stain can and stir well. This cannot be overstated enough. When the can sits for any length of time, the stain will separate and sediment (color) will sit at the bottom of the can. If you do not stir well, the stain you use from the top of the can will be much Lighter than the stain you end up using at the bottom of the can (and at the end of your project). These results will not look good. The things you stain first will be much Lighter than the last pieces you stain.

To apply the stain, one of the easiest tools to use are old rug remnants. Cut them into approximately 4 x 3 inch rectangles. Dip one end of the rug into your stain, then rub the rug onto your wood. It doesn't matter if you go with the grain or against the grain at this point, you just want to make sure that you cover all surfaces. If you are doing intricate work, such as doors with groves or raised panels, be sure to get stain into corners. Over staining at this point is a good idea, because the excess will be wiped off. This is where the drop clothes and wearing an apron come in handy, because it can get pretty messy!!

After you apply stain to your piece, look it over to make sure you didn't miss any spots. Areas that are commonly missed in studying how to stain your kitchen cabinets include: grooves, door edges, drawer edges, or any corners - like where the raised panel corners meet the door frame.

Step #5 - Wiping The Stain Off - A Very important Multi-Step In Ensuring Your Piece Looks Great

As you are first studying about staining kitchen cabinets, I advise you wipe the stain off immediately. Most cans of stain advise leaving the stain sit for 10 minutes, then wiping off the excess. I've found that this does not regularly convert the color, so why wait? Also, if you are staining kitchen cabinets that are already installed, or already built, and you can't lay pieces flat, your stain will run all over if you let it sit for any length of time. You will want to wipe it up as soon as possible.

If you want a darker piece of wood, purchase a darker stain color. The only time that waiting to wipe excess stain off will legitimately darken your piece significantly is if you can let it sit for over 30 minutes. This is legitimately a false darkening, and the question with it is that your stain is regularly so dry by then that it's difficult to remove smudges and wipe off the piece properly. The stain ends up sitting on top of the wood, not soaking in. Use your own judgment. If you decree to wait the 10 minutes, do it on every piece to ensure consistency.

Actually wiping the excess stain off in itself is a two step process.

First, have several cotton rags at your disposal. Put a rag in each hand. Never touch your wood with bare or gloved hands alone after it's been stained, as it will leave a smudge mark. Wipe off the bulk of the excess stain. At this point it doesn't matter if you are going with the grain or not, you just want to get the big spots of stain wiped up.

The second step is a finishing type step in staining kitchen cabinets. Take another clean rag. Go back over your piece of wood, this time with the grain. The second rag takes more stain off, preventing smudge marks. The biggest enemy in staining is leaving smudge marks.

Following these two steps and not being afraid to use rags as needed will ensure that you don't leave any smudges. Look your piece over. If you have left any smudges, wipe off slowly and blend color in with your cotton rag.

Step #6 - The Final Step In Staining - Set Your Pieces Aside To Dry

Now that you've learned how to stain kitchen cabinets, set your pieces aside to dry (or just let them hang there if they are already installed). You can lay your piece on a flat covering if only one side is stained. If your piece has complicated sides that are stained, you can lay it flat on something that allows for air circulation to the back, such as saw horses, or if you do adequate staining, purchase a professional staining rack. One caveat: where the saw horses or rack touch the stained piece, smudge marks may be left. Before you close a piece that has dried on such equipment, you may need to touch up that side.

You can also lean your piece against a wall to dry. When your stain is drying, it is best to let air get to as many sides that you have stained as possible. It's also okay to let fans run in the area where you are drying your piece. This helps it to dry faster and doesn't hurt the end result; however, never let fans run on a a piece that you've put close on.

How long your piece has to dry depends on what type of stain you are using. Read the label and act accordingly.

One Final And important Note About safety As You Learn How To Stain Kitchen Cabinets

Remember to hang your rags to dry, ensuring air movement around them as well. Too many times, bunched together wet staining rags have caused a tragic explosion resulting in fire and even death. Please be careful!!

You Are Now Ready For The Next Step - Finishing

Congratulations!!! You have learned how to stain kitchen cabinets and have completed your staining project!

After your pieces are completely dry, you are ready for the next step - putting a beautiful, clear close on your beautifully stained kitchen cabinets!

And remember - Have A Happy Kitchen!!!

Introduction to Kitchen club

Introduction to Kitchen club

Besides an introduction to kitchen organization, I'll furnish tips and guide on kitchen storage which depends to some extent on the shape and layout of the kitchen. The four first-rate kitchen arrangements are the U-shape, the galley, the L-shape and the island. The U-shape has work surface on three sides, the galley has a counter along one or both long sides of a rectangle. The L-shape is exactly that; on two sides at right angles to each other. An island configuration is a distinction on the L-shape, with a block of work surface with storage beneath.

To make the kitchen safer and more sufficient to work in, there are certain guidelines. One is to have a flat, heatproof surface immediately to at least one side of the oven and hob, so that you do not need to walk in any place retention something that is scalding hot. an additional one is not to have cupboard doors opening into a through-way, where habitancy walk to get to the table or door. Yet an additional one is to have the dish-washer just to one side of a sink and not creating a blockage when the door is opened down.

Some habitancy disagree on whether plates, cutleries and glass should be stored close to the dish-washer or to the table where it is used. The latter arrangement makes laying the table quicker and easier, but the previous makes emptying the dish-washer less tiresome. This is clearly a matter of personal preference.

Planning the kitchen from scratch means drawing it on paper first. If you've the time, make cut-out shapes representing appliances like refrigerator, as well as furniture. Feel free to Move the cut-outs around the scaled down space until you're satisfied.

Mass-produced kitchen units are basically boxes in regular sizes, allowing you to fix doors and work surfaces. The height of a base unit is generally 36" with depth of 24". Widths tend to be more varied. There are also angle units, and some ranges have extra pieces like tray stores, wine racks etc. These are built for habitancy with mean height.

Standard units can be raised up on a custom-made plinth so there's not need to stoop for those taller than average. Have drawers set into the plinth for added storage space. Your work surface can also be made deeper than usual from back to front/ This is a clever ruse to give more counter area if there is only tiny space. Have your kitchen convention built by a specialist firm or a local carpenter or 'Diy.' The taller, deeper units will give fullness of storage space under the counter.

Caribbean Party Themes

Caribbean Party Themes

Ahhh, the Caribbean. Creating Caribbean party themes is a pleasure. Whatever who has ever been to any of the Islands knows what I mean. Turquoise blue water, white beaches, rum drinks, and the Island beat give this theme all the ideas needed to create an awesome party.

Where

As with most theme parties, you'll need a decent-sized room or backyard, or you can rent a party room. The Caribbean party themes, weather permitting, undoubtedly would be great in an outdoor setting (especially if you have a pool). Or, in the winter, Caribbean party themes are just what is needed for an escape from the cold weather.

Invitations

One creative idea for Caribbean party themes is to make fake fLight tickets, arrival destination at one of the the Islands on the date and time of the party. Someone else idea is to create a flyer for a "Caribbean Festival" (or Jamacian Reggae Jam, San Juan Latin Dance Contest, Bermuda Triangle Party, etc.).

Other options are to get tropical finding blank invitations or paper and print them on your computer, or to buy fill-in-the-blank invitations.

Costumes

Caribbean party themes call for grass skirts, beach hats, rasta wigs, reggae hats, dreadlock wigs, coconut bikini tops, provocative prints, etc. Be sure to note on the invitation if you expect your guests to dress up!

Favors

Caribbean party themes favors (or game/door prizes) for your guests can comprise palm tree shaped votive candles, shell necklaces, reggae Cds, small bottles of hot sauce, sunglasses, sun visors, sunscreen, small bottles of Bacardi, a gift bag with several of these things, or any other gifts that have a Caribbean flair.

Decorations

Decorations and favors for the Caribbean party themes abound, but you have to be just to comprise only stuff that you'd find in the Caribbean. In other words, you aren't having a luau, so no tiki masks or other uniquely Hawaiian decor. You can, however, use many of the luau or Hawaiian labeled decorations for your Caribbean party. Here are some ideas for decorating:

* Cover a wall with a tropical photo mural

* Scatter tan and shades of blue balloons colse to (beach colors) or provocative tropical floral colors like yellow, pink, purple, green. There are even balloons shaped like flamingos, shells, and palm trees! Or, get white and blue round paper lanterns.

* Use any of several kinds of palm trees, flamingos, parrots, tropical fish, and suns (inflatable, metallic, paper, tissue, Lighted strings or otherwise) for Caribbean party themes.

* Exotic flowers (real or silk) or tropical candle holders or luminaries can be table centerpieces or accents in any place in your party area.

* Grass skirting on the tables is a neat touch too. If you assuredly want to go all out, you can get a grass tiki "hut" and use it as the bar or other serving area.

* Don't forget to have Caribbean party themes tableware and napkins in a provocative floral or flamingo pattern, mix and match provocative tropical solid colors, or even shell-shaped plates and coconut cups!

Food

The Caribbean's unique flavors will be sure to deLight your guests! Be sure to use Caribbean sauces and spices like Jerk sauce, Jamacian hot sauce, tabasco, and a host of pepper sauces and spices when creating your food. Some menu ideas are: Jerk Chicken (or Pork Chops, Beef, Lamb), Fried Plantains, Banana Bread, Jamacian Rice and Beans, Fishcakes, Seafood Patties, Coconut Shrimp, Any kind of Kabobs (with Island style spices), Conch Fritters, Spicy Pasta Salad, Crab Souffle, and for those who aren't that adventurous, quarterly barbequed chicken.

Have some Caribbean sweets and desserts on hand too! Try Bermuda Triangle cookies, coconut cookies/cake, pineapple cake with rum sauce, rum bananas, pineapple tarts, fruit pies, fruit salad with pina colada sauce. Be sure to have stuff on hand for non-fruit lovers, like chocolate cake, chocolate souffle (remember the French sway on some of the islands), etc.

Drinks

Don't forget tropical drinks! Serve daiquiris, pina coladas, rum punch, Bahama Mamas, and a whole host of other tropical drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Caribbean party themes wouldn't be unblemished without Bacardi-based rum drinks!

Cake

If it's a birthday or other celebration, you'll need a cake. Or you might just want a cake as a sweetmeat item. With a tropical theme, I'd go with coconut or pineapple upside down cake! Or you might want a round or sheet cake decorated as Bob Marley or with the Bemuda Triangle. Other ideas could be a palm tree, Jamacian flag, turquoise ocean with tropical fish, steel drum instruments, etc.

Games

Anyone up for a conga line or limbo? How low can You go? Other than those games, I wouldn't "clutter" the party with any scheduled games. Let the music and the guests entertain themselves. Dancing and rum make for great fun!

Entertainment

Reggae, steel drum, calypso, and other Caribbean sounds are mandatory. You can also play an Ocean Sounds Cd (This would be nice during a sit-down dinner.) Or, hire a band or Dj and let them worry about holding the sounds coming!

Why is Height of factory necessary For Pendant Light Fixtures?

Why is Height of factory necessary For Pendant Light Fixtures?

Pendant Light fixtures are necessary in making pendant Lighting productive and successful. These fixtures lead not only to the charm of the pendant Lighting, but also to the practical utility that the lighting caters to the user. Note that without the practical utilities even the best-looking pendant lighting would not be used by people. And the height of installation is the single-most necessary element of pendant light fixtures.

What makes height of installation such an important factor? If you understand the requirements of a person, you need to strike a equilibrium in the middle of three important factors. And height is the key element behind attaining the right equilibrium of the three. The three factors are as follows.

Focus of the light: The light must focus on determined objects if so desired. For example, if you are installing pendant Lights in a kitchen, you would want to have sufficient focus at the islands and counter tops. And in case of a study room, you would want the light to be able to render sufficient brightness on the reading table surface. Spread of the light: You may wish the light to spread colse to the whole room or location of installation. As an example, if you are installing a pendant light at the stairway then you would want the light to reach all the staircases so that the illumination is sufficient for one to be able to distinguish the stairs. However, you may perform this spread at the expense of focus since you verily do not expect habitancy to stress their eyes while climbing or descending along stairs. Freeness of Movement of humans: While you may need to install the pendant light fixture at a height such that the illumination below the light is strong enough, but you may still want to ensure that the lowest of the light is above the human head in most of the cases. Any way if you are installing a pool table light or a dining table light right over the respective table then the light need not necessarily lie overhead.

Now that you understand the height factor complex in installing pendant light fixtures, you would want to ensure that your pendant Lights get installed at the right heights. Naturally, if you install the Lights too high then it will not give you too good a focus but will spread colse to to a cheap radius.

The higher up the pendant light fixtures are installed, the higher is the radius of spread but the lesser is the focus below. However, as you keep reducing the height of the lowest of the fixture for getting great focus, you start arrival closer to your head. And if you pull the installation too low, then you may be all set to get a few unwelcome bumps on your head.

Kitchen Island Lights - effective and decorative

There was a time when kitchens were treated just like every other room in the house, and no special attentiveness was paid to Lighting or décor. Many older kitchens just highLight a particular hanging light fixture, regardless of the size, shape or color of the room.

Good Rhode Island divorce Lawyers Exist Despite Lawyer Jokes!

Ever since I was in high school I've heard lawyer jokes. When I became a litigation paralegal many years ago I became patently more aware that they existed and heard them even more. Today I don't hear them as much. Why? Probably because I'm a Rhode Island lawyer and there are a good many habitancy who are decent adequate not to plainly throw out a tasteless (or even tasteful) joke at parties or gatherings plainly to have a laugh by insulting my chosen profession.

In truth, most habitancy would agree that personally I have a fairly good sense of humor and that I could (and in all probability would) appreciate a well-told joke regardless of any negative connotation that it may have on my chosen profession. I mean, let's face it. . . .most jokes poke fun at what habitancy realize (albeit stereotypically) as a dominant trait of a profession, race, religion, etc...

Island Table

In fact, on our office coffee table we have a book of 500 Lawyer Jokes for those waiting to meet with us. This small book and the idea of jokes about our profession verily spawned a brief conversation between a few of my Rhode Island colleagues, myself included.

Good Rhode Island divorce Lawyers Exist Despite Lawyer Jokes!

First, the attorney who verily provided the book to us for the table found it to be ironic and expressed that clients would probably appreciate it that an attorney's office would have such a book for their clients not only in plain view but verily settled right in front of them so they would roughly verily read it. The message conveyed to clients and visitors in this case seemed to be that we as lawyers are not so stuffy, pompous and overly pro that we cannot step back and whether "look at the Lighter side of our profession as lawyers" or laugh at ourselves and colleagues who, though lawyers, may have made atypical blunders that are in truth funny or downright hilarious.
Now other Rhode Island attorney who came into the office found the book personally obnoxious and concept it inappropriate to have the book at all. This attorney's feeling was that lawyers as a profession have been ridiculed for years and a gross misimpression has been presented to the communal that we are all greedy thieves who make too much money and only survive to see how much money we can get out of people. My colleague's concept was that by providing such a book to clients we are perpetuating and fueling the bad sentiments of the communal toward lawyers.

Then there is me. I'm undecided on the branch of this small book. In the scope of a law practice, the big picture of world events, the struggles of those who barely survived in the wake of Katrina's devastation, this small book seems so trivial and yet it still has a place and plays even the smallest role societies perception of the profession or even the man (or people) who have the book such that habitancy continue to make judgments and those judgments still work on company and personal decisions about who we will and will not work with, who we will hire and who we won't and even who we will connect with. It is, to say the least, a small yet piquant philosophical maze of thought.

There is, however, one point upon which I can generally agree. The general communal concensus reveals that lawyers are not looked upon well and they have received a "black eye" as far as professions go. As a Rhode Island lawyer I fell into house law more by emergency and necessity than whatever when I first began my law practice. Today focus my institution on Rhode Island divorce and house law issues.

Today, however, I find myself contemplating this small book of 500 Lawyer Jokes and the opinions of my colleagues as well as what I know to be a fairly consistent consensus of the general populous that by and large most lawyers (divorce, house law or otherwise) are cheats and swindlers that are overpaid and can't be trusted.

The closing I come to is somewhat self-informative. We as attorneys (in various areas of law) have a black eye in the society and the communal at large.

I found this much more piquant and much more critical than the small book on the waiting room table. Yet this is a concept process that is far from faultless and will take a bit more pondering.

In closing this singular blog post, I have no true concept on the small book itself. It can stay. It can go. It's a book. It's information. It's entertainment. Just as the author has the right to poke fun at the legal profession which is still only made up of habitancy who do make mistakes which are sometimes hilarious, I believe that clients should be able to read such things if they like. If I can't laugh at myself and at those who artfully poke fun at my profession then my skin is a bit too thin for me to be practicing in my own profession. Pride in my profession does not mean I need to be intolerant of others or their writings.

The more crucial ask I will ponder for the continuation of this blog record is this.

Whether as a Rhode Island divorce and house Law Lawyer or a Rhode Island excellent Court Litigation Attorney or an Estate Planning Lawyer my profession has a "black eye" in view of the public, is the black eye misconceived or is it well-deserved?

I'll keep you posted as this philosophical joust continues.

In the meantime, there are still good Rhode Island Lawyers out there and I'm happy to support whatever with their divorce and/or house law issue. Yet to the extent that I am not the right attorney for you or the match plainly isn't there, I am customary with several attorneys in Rhode Island besides myself that I believe are also atypical of the black eye our profession may have and I can propose them unwaveringly and without hesitation to help you in any of the various legal matters you may encounter.

Simultaneous Discoveries

How do two or more people, unknown to each other, work on the same problem and arrive at the same conclusion simultaneously? Quite often, each discoverer will accuse the other for copying his work whereas in reality each did not know that the other was working on the same project. There are many instances of such simultaneous discoveries.

British biologist, Sir Aleister Hardy thinks that animals manufacture a group mind and that all species might be associated by a cosmic mind to convey information through space. Rupert
Sheldrake, a biologist, agrees with Hardy. They quote instances of monkeys washing sweet potatoes to get rid of sand. First, monkeys on Koshima island practiced it. After a few months, monkeys on an additional one island with no palpate with the earlier ones, also industrialized the same habit. Sheldrake says that rats that have learned to run a maze send this knowledge to rats in other laboratories. How do they prove this theory? Their proof is that the rats in other laboratories learn the trick in a shorter period than they did previously.

Island Table

He calls this conception "morphogenetic fields" and believes that this faculty is similar to the simultaneous discoveries several population make in separate areas of the world but I believe the human mind is the link. Our mind transmits the information to rats in other labs through various venues along with contact. When we see monkeys on one island, we think "why don't those on the other island do the same thing?" and this information travels to the monkeys on the other island. The process is to hasten our expand from an earthly being of diminutive knowledge to a celestial being with wider knowledge. This expand has to come step by step. So, Nature searches for prepared minds and two or more persons become aware of a problem and work on it. The problem is solved independently and often simultaneously. Some examples are given below.

Simultaneous Discoveries

Electrons

J.J. Thomson and Charles-Francois de Cisternay DuFay discovered electrons independently. DuFay conception that there were two kinds and called one vitreous electricity and the other
resinous electricity. (The English physician, William Gilbert, introduced the term electric from the Greek word "electron" for amber because amber would gain a extra character of
attracting or repelling metallic objects when it was rubbed over fur.)

Aeroplane

The Wright brothers in America and Richard Peers in New Zealand at the same time industrialized the aeroplane. Richard Peers flew two years before the Wright brothers but he was a loner and never published. Wright brothers arrived at the same succeed without knowing the work of Peers.

Jet Engine

The jet motor was industrialized simultaneously by a German engineer, Paul Schmidt, and by British engineer, Whittle, of the Raf college at Cranwell.

Liquid Fuels

When Hermann Oberth was advising the German war lords about liquid fuel for long range missiles, Robert Goddard was working on similar fuels in America.

Spectral Lines

Lord Kelvin in England and George Robert Kirchhoff in Germany discovered that each element produced its own spectral lines. Using this system, John Lockyer in England and Pierre Janssen in India identified, almost at the same time, the yellow spectral lines of helium in the sun.

Receding Universe

Edwin Hubble (1889-1950) in the U.S., Abbe Georges Lemaitre (1894-1966) in Belgium, and Willem Sitter (1872-1934) in Holland worked out the law of the receding universe at the same time.

Saturn'S Rings

Ring C nearby Saturn was discovered in 1850 by William C. Bond (1789-1859) of Harvard observatory and two weeks later, independently, by W.R. Davies in England.

Neptune

In 1846, J.C. Adams, at Cambridge University and Urbain Joseph Leverrier (Luh-veh-ryay) at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris independently calculated the spot where Neptune would be found.

Cyclotron

Soviet Physicist Vladimir Isifovitch Veksler and Edwin Mattison McMillan in California independently devised "Synchronized Cyclotron" at the same time.

Viral Mutation

Independently, Luria Salvadore Hershey discovered viral mutations.

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

E.M.Purcell and Felix Bloch independently industrialized nuclear magnetic resonance (Nmr) to study the interior of living organisms without damage to the tissues which X-rays would cause.

Semi-Magic Numbers

J.H.D.Jensen and Gopper-Mayer independently discovered "semi-magic numbers" (stability of atoms containing 28 or 40 protons in shells).

Cat Scanner

Godfrey Hounsfield, an electric engineer working for a prvate enterprise in London, and Allan Cormack a Physicist, at Tufts University in Boston industrialized the catscanner (Computerized axial tomography) independently at the same time. When attached to a computer, it will scan and magnify a diminutive area and facilitate pathology of the condition. In October, 1979, the Nobel prize for inventing catscanner was awarded to these two scientists.

Liquefied Air

William Hampson in England and Karl von Linde in Germany independently liquefied air on a large scale in 1895.

Calculus

Both Newton and Leibnitz independently discovered calculus at the same time. However, Newton did not publish his work. He industrialized this law to fancy the gravitational force of the sun and to conclude the revolutionary elliptical paths of the planets. About 10 years later, when Leibnitz wrote to Newton, Newton replied saying that he had already worked out that system.

Darwin And Wallace

Charles Darwin (1838) and Alfred Wallace (1848) worked independently on the law of evolution. When Wallace was in Indonesia, he had an Charge of malaria and decided to convey
without delay a conception that arose in his mind to Darwin. He drafted a letter and mailed it the next day. When Darwin read that letter, he was surprised to see that Wallace's findings were very similar to his. (Darwin had not published his theory) In Wallace's letter, Darwin saw confirmation of his own ideas, though Wallace was trying to convey his confidence that an activity
of the spirit pervades the universe.

Hugo De Vries of Holland, Karl Erich Correns of Germany and Erich von Tschermak of Austria studied Mendelianism in plants without knowing that the other two were doing the same or that Mendel had done the work. In a final check of old publications, all three came across Mendel's paper. All three published in 1900, each citing Mendel's paper and giving Mendel
full reputation for the discovery, publishing his own work as confirmation.

Television

The basic law of television were industrialized independently in Germany, England, France, Scotland, Russia, and the U.S. While the 1920's. Sawyer in U.S. And Morris Leblanc in
France proposed a rapid scanning of a scene line by line to build up a picture. Baird in England and Jenkins in the U.S. Independently succeeded in intercity transmission of an image.

Electrical Induction

Joseph Henry (1823) in America and Michael Faraday (1831) in England independently found electrical induction. Each published within a few months of each other.

Compton Effect

Sir Chandrasekhara Venketaraman independently discovered the Compton succeed (the Light scattering succeed of molecules) before Compton. This discovery helped in the study of molecular structure.

Electric Lamps

Electric Lamps with glowing filaments were industrialized independently by Sir Joseph W. Swan in Britain and Edison in America towards the close of the 1870s.

Fitzgerald Contraction

Lorenz and Fitzgerald independently discovered the Fitzerald Contraction of objects due to speed. Michaelson and Morley did an experiment to conclude if there is any variation in the velocity of Light because of the earth's motion. They failed to detect the variation because of an error in in their investigation. The error was the contraction due to speed . A foot length will become 6 inches if the ruler is travelling at a speed of 161,000miles /second. At the speed of light of 186282 the contraction will be full and the length will be zero in the direction of travel. Lorenz industrialized the same law independently. Hence, it is now known as Lorenz-Fitzgerald contraction.

Rubella Virus

Weller and coworkers at Harvard, Parkman and coworkers at Walter Reed Army manufacture of explore in 1961, working independently reported isolation of Rubella virus and its
successful growth in cell cultures.

Anthrax Bacillus

Bakelite

In 1907 L.A.H. Baekeland in U.S.A. And James Swinburne in U.K. Simultaneously patented bakelite, (phenol-formaldehyde plastic)

There are hundreds and thousands more of such instances of simultaneous discoveries. They will fill many volumes. When the time has come, the Universal Being sends the task nearby the globe so that he who is prepared will work at it. This shows that God wants to relate these secrets to man. All human beings will not arrive at the all-Powerful level at the same time. Each one receives knowledge according to his capacity. Each has his freedom to receive or reject.

How is it that two or more population in separate places are working on the same topic and getting the same answer? Is it purely accidental? Such wide spread accidents! legitimately not. There is an unknown force directing all events in the universe. Because we cannot see, we say there is nothing.

Kitchen design Tips & Updates - Space Requirements & Recommendations

Kitchen invent can be as straightforward as a level countertop with minimalist appliances, or as sophisticated as multiple sinks, dishwashers, cooktops & ovens in islands, under islands, over islands and more. Wine coolers can fit in the space of a dishwasher or be as tall as a pantry. Sinks can be troughs to be filled with ice to cool bottles, itsybitsy for an entertainment center, double or triple bowls and an infinite collection of materials. Materials vary enormously, you can go green with countertops made of compressed recycled paper, clear glass, concrete, granite, limestone or the old standbys. Even within materials, such as granite, prices vary enormously depending on the exact stone chosen, and you can find some very uncostly and gorgeous stone if you look around. There's an infinite world of possibilities in the kitchen.

First we can start with some invent basics. How much room do I need for a kitchen? Well, that depends on what you want in it. At it's most mini, you could fit a kitchen into a space 5'-4" x 7'-5", but there wouldn't be much beyond some very small appliances without a dishwasher. Let's look at some acceptable appliance and fixtures size ranges.

Island Table

Sinks: sinks come in many sizes, depths, materials and prices.  You can get them as narrow as 11" wide, but you probably want to plan at least a 30" - 36" cabinet, which can adapt a wide range of acceptable size kitchen sinks from 25" to 33" in a collection of styles (drop-in, undercounter, or exposed front cut out).  You will also need to determine if you like a single, double or triple basin sink, as that will impact ready sizes. There is also the option of putting the sink in an island, or putting an entertainment sink or trough sink in a secondary location.   Dishwashers: dishwashers are pretty easy because they are pretty acceptable at 24".   Cooking: again we have multiple choices, but sizes are a itsybitsy easier.  You have a option of a free-standing or slide-in, in which the unit fits in in the middle of two cabinets, which is generally 30" wide; a cooktop with cut off ovens, (either below or in a cut off cabinet), which comes acceptable in 30" or 36" sizes and fit into that size cabinet (although you can get professional style rangetops up to 48"); or a professional style range made by fellowships such as Viking, Wolfe or Ge Monogram which range from 24" all the way up to 60", and wish vital ventilation. If you select a cut off oven in some kind of wall oven arrangement, acceptable oven widths are generally 27" and 30", although they can be found up to 36".   Refrigerators: Choices, choices! Refrigerators are kind of two basic style decisions. Do you want one which is shallow (around 2') and is known as built-in or counter-depth, or do you want the sLightly deeper primary style where some of refrigerator sides are exposed. The shallower built-in's generally come in 36", 42" & 48", while the deeper styles can be found just below 30" wide and up.   Faucets: Kitchen faucets, besides an practically infinite collection of styles, materials and colors, also have evolved. Faucets are now ready just to fill the pots on your stove, have a option of pull-out sprayer heads or cut off sprayer, particular or multiple handles, they are ready with remote two button controls for a prep sink which allows for a quick sink rinse or a more unblemished cleansing flow, and can fit any decor from ultra modern to renaissance.
How much countertop is enough? according to the National Kitchen and Bath connection (Nkba) a total of 158 inches (13'-2") of countertop frontage (not in corners) is needed to adapt all kitchen uses. Try to allow a continuous section of countertop of at least 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep next to your primary work area.  The Nkba recommends that you allow at least a 15 inch countertop area next to your oven and on the handle side of your refrigerator.

Kitchen design Tips & Updates - Space Requirements & Recommendations

When talking about storage,  the Nkba recommends a total shelf/drawer frontage of 1400 inches for a small kitchen (less then 150sf), 1700 inches for a medium kitchen (151 to 350sf) and 2000 inches for a large kitchen (over 350sf). What does this mean? Does this mean that I need over 100' of shelves for a itsybitsy kitchen? Well, yes, but, each drawer or each private shelf should be counted towards the total. So if you have a 24" wide cabinet, 30" high with 3 shelves, you already have 6' of shelving. And if there were a 24" base cabinet with 4 drawers, there's other 8', so this one 24" area of your kitchen already has 14' of shelving.

What is "the work triangle"? The work triangle represents the three major work stations of the kitchen: the cooking area, the refrigerator and the sink. Measuring from the town of each, the maximum total length of the triangle should not be greater then 26 feet with the maximum leg no greater then 9 feet and the minimum not less then 4 feet. At 3D Home Decorator, there are indeed 9ft and 4ft arrows that you can place in your floor plans to test distances.

Eating areas are not itsybitsy to tables! Islands can adapt eating areas, cooking areas, washing up areas, or just prep areas. A typical kitchen counter is 34 inches to 36 inches high. A table is typically 30 inches high. So in planning kitchen eating areas, part of an island eating area can be dropped to table height or a table can be built as an prolongation of an island, left at counter height with stools, or raised to 42 inches for a high countertop eating area, which is often used to hide the work covering of the counter behind it when viewed from the rest of the room.

How much space is ideal in the middle of a table and the wall? The Nkba  (National Kitchen & Bath Assoc.) recommends a minimum of 32 inches if no traffic needs to pass. 36 inches will let person squeeze by, and 44 inches will let a person walk by. If a wheelchair needs to pass, allow 60 inches.

It is best to vent your stove to the covering if possible, but there are recirculating fans which will draw odors from the air if covering venting is not ready Do not put cooking surfaces under operable windows. If you are lucky adequate to have an operable window above countertop height in your kitchen, place your sink under it instead of your stove. You can put a microwave with a fan combination over your stove, either exhausting to the outside, or recirculating the air.

Do not waste your kitchen corners. Upper cabinets can be ornamental open shelving or have a two part door which opens both sides of the cabinets. Blind base cabinets can have lazy susans, which rotate for access, or base cabinets can have shelves which pull out, swing to the side and allow deeper shelves to be pulled out into accessible locations. While it is the hardest to access, the least costly solution is just to have deep shelves or a straightforward lazy-susan (the rotating shelves). If you have an L shaped kitchen or island with a peninsula setup, doors can be settled on both sides for accessibility.

Don't forget the space in the middle of the upper and lower cabinets. If you have more then adequate countertop, the space in the middle of the upper and lower cabinets  (even in the corners) can have tambour doors (rollup doors) which can hide appliances or the space can be filled with open wine racks, leaving half the countertop exposed for the usual purposes.

Cabinets come in all sizes. Base cabinets come in every width from 3 inches up, and depths from 12 inches to 24 inches and larger, so they can fill all kinds of needs. 9 inch and 12 inch base pullouts for soda bottles and cans are wonderful and effective for filling in narrower spaces. There are  base cabinets with pullouts for garbage and/or recycling, or with shelves that lift up for a Kitchenaid Mixmaster type of appliance. A 12 inch deep cabinet at the end of an island can be used for cookbooks or designed for wine storage. Don't forget full height pantries, which can have shelves, roll-out drawers, door attachments for spices or other specialty storage. Both lower and upper cabinets can be decoratively open for wine, books, glassware, and more. An 18" or 24" base could have a small wine or soda refrigerator built in. There are 6" high drawer cabinets or open shelves which can fit under your upper cabinets to furnish warehouse for smaller items.  Base cabinets too can have glass doors and fancy faces, which can be used to display special dishes.  With warehouse at a premium, kitchen cabinets have come to be very clever about contribution maximum efficiency in minimum space.
