Such a beautiful island. We just built a new home and found that a lot of our furniture from our other home, was not going to work in this home, so I started hunting for something with storage and that could be used as a kitchen table. I had my eye on this for a long time and was hesitant to order something on line that was so heavy.

When we received it, the delivery man was wonderful and brought it into my kitchen and got rid of all the packing. It weighs a few hundred pounds. When I went to put the top on and handles, I realized that the whole pack for handles, screws, etc. was missing.

Luckily I remembered a review from someone who said to look for the shelf hidden under the island (thank you, I don't think I would have ever thought to look there). I called the company and the first representative took all the information and said she would have to forward it to another department and it would take several days for them to follow up (I thought that was ridiculous, wasn't "she" customer service) I was patient and waited for them to call or email me. When neither happened I called the company again the following week, and the same procedure, this time they transferred me over to the department that would handle it.

Yep, you guessed it, they had no record of my request. This Rep took all the information again and because it was a Friday and late in the afternoon, she would not be able to get my missing parts out any sooner than Monday (now that is a week and a half after I originally called them). They finally arrived that Friday and all went well when I had someone give me a hand to lift the top on the island. It is very heavy and you will need two people to accomplish that.

My 12 year old grandson got underneath to put the screws into the top and we just tightened them.
